Classroom Ditties!
(Below are some little ditties we use in our class to help us learn. Please use these at home when helping
your child)
1. long vowel words ending in silent "e" (cake, bake, lake, bike, ride)
The "e" tells the "(insert vowel here)" to say it's alphabet letter name, (insert alphabet
letter sound here)
2. words with 2 vowels side by side (nail, mail, read)
The last one(last vowel) walks away and doesn't say a word. The first one (first vowel) says
it's alphabet letter and looooveeesss to he heard!
