Once a child enters the classroom, he/she becomes part of our learning family. As members of our family, each
child has responsibilities, expectations, and a voice. We value hard work, a "Yes, I can do it!" attitude, politeness and
helpfulness towards others. Reactions are in place for members who do not adher to our Code of Conduct.
Reactions
(We operate on a Color System where colors are changed for each inappropriate action. Students colors will be
placed back at Black after lunch as a second chance. At the end of the day, the student's color will be noted in the Behavior
Folder. BUT he/she CANNOT earn back his/her job or privledges for the day.)
black: excellent
yellow: warning
red: reflection time/loss of daily privledges
blue: parent communication

Word Ladder: based on the 220 dolch sight words. (incentives given at 55 words, 10 words, 165 words,

Class Behavior:
Kernel Jar: students can earn kernels for everyone turning in their homework, everyone being on black
for the day, Perfect Daily Class Attendance, Mystery Person, and excellect behavior while a visitor is in the room.
Compliment Chain: if we get a compliment from another teacher/administrator/visitor/substitute,
I will add a loop to our chain.
Table Points: based on how the table works together and their behavior
Raffle Tickets: for following the rules, top color, helpful behavior
Class Certificate hung outside: Perfect Class Attendance
